The Hajj is one of the major pillars of Islam that Allah Most High commanded believers to perform once in their lifetime, if able to do so. This course will teach students the inner and outward dimensions of the Hajj based on the primary texts of Islam and the teachings of the great spiritual masters of our tradition. This course will address a number of questions, including:
• What is the reality of Hajj?
• Why do we perform the Hajj?
• What do the rituals of Hajj tell us about Allah and our relationship to Him?
• How do the rituals of the Hajj allow us to connect to Allah in this world?
