Course Description

This is a ten-week introduction to the science and art of reciting the Qur'an (tajwid). Students will be taught the etiquettes of recitation, correct articulation of the Arabic sounds, the qualities of letters, and other issues pertaining to the recitation of the Book of God.

The teacher will help students to apply these rules to their own reading and teach students how to self-correct their recitation, based upon what they have learnt.

Due to the intensive nature of the training, only five students will be accepted on the course at any one time.

Prerequisites

1) The ability to read Arabic text 2) A solid commitment to attend all ten lessons (due to the progressive nature of the course, and the limited number of seats).
